This is an old and detached railroad keeper’s cottage on a double track, just below Limoges. The track has limited use for passenger traffic and has about 10 short trains a day on weekdays between 07:00-19:00h. There is no freight traffic during the day or night. On weekends, passenger traffic is reduced to 6-8 trains per day. The house is detached and has no direct neighbors.
The cottage is located at a railroad crossing. The house is on 2 contiguous lots of almost 900m² and has an entrance to the kitchen cum dining room. Behind the dining room is a living room with access to a toilet and the shower room. From the kitchen, a staircase goes up giving access to 2 bedrooms, one with a (French) balcony. Behind, attached to the house, there is a shed (3m²) currently used as storage.
Opposite the road that runs along the house, there is still a plot of land of about 900m² that is currently not in use but which could be used. From the house you walk 500m and you can connect to the Grande Randonnée GR654 (route Santiago de Compostella).
Everything in the cottage is original incl. the terrazzo floor in the kitchen, the door handles and the banister to the bedrooms. N.B> The house is sold including movable goods; a list is available (including an electric bicycle and various tools).
